5/365 confinement

so im cheating and putting two images for today. both illustrating the same thing. just one sad and one super sad.

today was day one (after night one) of crate training. charlie cried when i put him in there this morning when i was leaving for work. but he was very happy to see me at lunch. it's so nice living 8 blocks from my office. i let him out - he didnt mess his crate at all. we played and cuddled at lunchtime. then he went back in the crate.... i came home after work and he was still doing well - and did not, yet again mess in his crate. HOORAY. this may be working.

the crate i got is huge... really it's enormous. but it's one that he can grow into. theres a divider i put in so it will be smaller for him and can "grow" with him.

i am SOOOO against crate training. but i figured the $69.00 spent on that is definitely better than spending a lot on vet bills (for a wall climbing dog), new shoes for em, replacing a door if he chewed through it someday. so yeah. so far so good. man being a parent is hard and stressful sometimes! but SOO worth it ;)

Oh, puppy jail! (But it's the best thing for them . . . particularly when they are so young.)

yeah I agree with Billie, just think of how much he'll love you when you let him out! :o)

Hey, what a great idea! Does it work with kids too? ;-) JK...
I like the top photo the best. It shows more emotion and draws you in to the scene.
